Dr. Bruce Goldberg’s spellbinding interview with Open Minds Host Regina Meredith on GaiamTV.com, sheds light on the past, future and more!
Many have become entranced about a process called past life regression – a modality typically induced through various measures of hypnosis to recall previous incarnations on this planet.Although Dr. Bruce Goldberg, internationally known hypnotherapist, made his entry into hypnosis work doing regressions, he is one of the first, if not the first to tackle what he calls, “progression therapy,” literally guiding the patient into some future time period, whereby the individual is able to live and relay back to this reality their experience; what they are seeing, feeling and doing.The results of progressing his patients have been nothing short of fascinating and the range of experience is about as boundary busting as one can imagine!
He includes as part of his repertoire of therapy: life progression (including to the 35th century!), age progression, alien abduction in the “future state,” time travel, parallel universes – the list goes on.And the experiences range from visits with reptilians which he insists are in fact real, to Arcturians, grand spiritually endowed entities whose mission is in part to assist in our evolutionary growth.These experiences truly run the gamut.
“Progression therapy gives you psychic empowerment to see the future in a way where you can change and therefore help yourself,” says Goldberg.But one needs to be aware of the surroundings one finds themselves in and most importantly be in a positive frame of mind when taking these sojourns to other levels of awareness and reality.
Among one of the potential dangers of venturing beyond the physical plane whether through monitored hypnosis, self hypnosis or the dream state (which Goldberg says is in fact a form of altered condition, rooted primarily in the alpha state), are interactions with beings whose agendas may be less than positive. What he refers to as the lower astral plane is a frequency in which ill intending energies reside. Some have referred to them as shadow people, demons, djinn – whatever the names, the energies they radiate are from a lower realm and their influence can affect some who find themselves there.This of course, is not the first time we’ve heard some semblance of this terrain described as such.Some might call this a “hell-like” state.Nonetheless, these areas of experience can be avoided and Goldberg gives much insight and information about how one can navigate the nonphysical realms with relative ease and as a result emerge with uplifting and even life-altering experiences!
Future progression saves one woman scheduled to be on TWA Flight 800!
During this interview he covered not only progression from a future life perspective but also from an age perspective (while still in this life).He tells the story of a female patient he calls “Tammy” who he’d been progressing as well as teaching how to use these techniques at home.Tammy talks about doing a self-initiated progression session in which she wanted to see how an upcoming trip to Paris would turn out.During the session, in which she was in an out of body state, she was able to see the flight in which she was scheduled to go on.Upon departure from the airport, the plane quickly crashed to the ground killing all on-board including Tammy! When she explained this frightening scenario to Dr. Goldberg, he calmly advised her not to panic but to consider changing her flight arrangements of which she obliged.It turns out the ill fated flight that Tammy “witnessed” in her progressed state was none other than TWA Flight 800, which was bound for Paris but ended up in a fiery crash shortly after take off.There were no survivors.This was the flight Tammy was scheduled to be on!
In Dr. Larry Dossey’s book, The Power of Premonitions, he as well looks closely at the phenomenon of seeing future events play out, including some with a less than desirable outcome.But the stories that Dossey documents in his book are arrived at through an involuntary bleed through of insight called premonition or even precognition, most of which happens arbitrarily to the experiencer.Dr. Goldberg maintains that when one decides to use progression as a proactive means by which they can see a potential outcome, whether in this life or another, the outcome can be altered or at the very least different choices can be made so the experiencer has the opportunity to create a better choice for themselves.
In addition to the more relatively approachable subject of progression therapy, Goldberg discussed the phenomenon of alien abduction and memory retrieval while in an altered state, hybridization during encounters with alien abductions, the 5th dimension, parallel realities and time travelers from our future including some from the 35th century!
According to the information he’s gleaned from his patient’s visits to this point in our evolutionary trajectory, individuals in the 35th century can live from between 500-900 years of age, they will be spiritually adept, and illness and poverty will be a thing of the past…which is certainly past due!In other words, we have much to look forward to in our subsequent incarnations!Perhaps most curious and interesting to me was that he said the population would not exceed 1 billion!Of course there has been much talk about an agenda to greatly reduce world population, albeit in the context of a malevolent agenda.The 35th century, he contends will be the result of anything but!
So whether peaking into the future or the past, interacting with a myriad of species from all walks of dimensional life, or glimpsing our own future selves or those of others, I count this interview with Dr. Goldberg on GaiamTV as a must see for your own boundary dissolving and mind expanding travels!

“The Universe is so brilliant!”That’s what Tammy Mastroberte founder and editor of Elevated Existence magazine told me at the conclusion of our interview (which will air on Conscious Life News in March), as we were discussing the language the Universe speaks, its intelligence and intrinsic link to all of us.We can carry on a dialogue with this magnificent and mysterious consciousness if we are open to it.
Brahma, a Sanskrit term often referred to as “the biggest” or “the Universe” or even “God of the Universe”, carries a mysterious and somehow omniscient spark, hearing our every word, every thought, every nuance we have, even before we have it.
How is this so?How does the Universe speak and more importantly, how do we learn to decipher its message?
When discussing how Tammy started her now well recognized and award winning publication Elevated Existence, she admitted that as with most entrepreneurial endeavors, there was a fair amount of ambivalence and anxiety.She said her first knee jerk reaction to starting her own magazine so she could deliver topics that she loved to cover (spirituality and self improvement), was “are you out of your mind?”A friend had urged her to consider undertaking the endeavor since knowing that Tammy was so passionate about these subjects.But she said shortly thereafter, she thought to herself “why not?”And so she went for it.And the rest is history.Tammy is now in her fourth year of the publication which has seen amazing success and features well known names both within and outside of the “new age/spirituality” genre.She has interviewed Gregg Braden, Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson and Dr. Brian Weiss as well as hip hop mogul Russell Simmons, actress and singer Olivia Newton John and Jane Fonda!She says, each of these individuals, no matter their background all have a common interest; a common bond – that of the spiritual journey.And they’ve shared many details of their own personal journey with Tammy and with her magazine.

Tammy said that once she had gotten over her initial jitters to start her own business, she never looked back.“Surrender and know that you’re being guided (by the Universe) and be open to that guidance.”
We agreed that to be sure the Universe is brilliant in how it knows what you need and if you’ve got an acute awareness of this you will hear its messages loud and clear – even if you’re not quite sure what it is trying to tell you at the outset.
We discussed so many fascinating topics in our hour long interview and were so excited about all of these subjects; we continued chatting well after the interview had ended.
Among the topics we covered was past life regression and how her interview with author and psychiatrist Dr. Brian Weiss led her deeper into her own quest to understand herself through her past lives.As I was listening to her talk about one of her previous incarnations that she experienced, I found myself daydreaming a bit, thinking “perhaps I too will look into my own past lives through regression.”It’s interesting how your mind can wander and still be focused on the conversation at hand.This was the case here.By the time she finished relaying her regression story to me I had silently decided, this is something I will look into for myself.
The Universe responded to my thought in perfect accord…
Minutes after I hung up with Tammy, I had walked around to get a bit of exercise and stretch as I usually do after doing an interview or writing a lengthy piece, just to clear my head.I wandered into the living room and noticed three pieces of something on the floor sitting on one of our oriental rugs.Upon closer examination I noticed that these were pieces of a mineral (Azurite) of which I had displayed on the second floor as part of a collection of a variety of crystals and minerals.“How on earth did fragments of azurite make its way downstairs and end up on the living room floor?”I immediately went to examine the display of minerals including the azurite which sits in a spot that would make it unlikely to fall.I saw no breaks or cracks in the stone.The whole thing was truly mystifying me.Of course, as I usually do, I went through a process of elimination exercise, including asking my husband if he’d picked up and dropped the stone – his was an emphatic “no.”So how could these pieces end up downstairs?
When these little “anomalous” events occur in my life, after I’ve ruled out all matter of rational explanation, I then turn inward and reflect on something I might have been thinking about, said or requested to account for the experience in the form of a symbol – in this case the mineral fragments.I quickly went to a metaphysical mineral reference book that I often use and looked up common qualities of azurite.Among other things, here’s what it said:
“Azurite can assist in exploring past or alternate lifetimes, and in recovering information and knowledge from those lifetimes.” (Source: The Book of Stones – Who They Are & What They Teach)

Of course, I had been talking to Tammy about exploring her past lives and silently considering exploring my own.I had even thought briefly about trying to self initiate the process for myself – all of this within the span of merely minutes.The Universe has this uncanny ability to respond to virtually everything and in such brilliant fashion.This was certainly no exception as it immediately met my request with an answer – in the form of fragments of azurite!
When we speak of “Universal language” one might assume that this is some sort of audible dialect that we can learn to decipher and speak for ourselves.My surmise is that the language that is most powerful and most innate in us all is that of the unspoken, the symbolic, that which is felt and assimilated through one’s own experience.The true magic of this intriguing discussion I had with Tammy Mastroberte went far beyond the words we spoke during our interview, but in the felt experience; the language of the Universe that gave its own unique wink and nod to me, well after our talk had concluded.
As I continue to contemplate the magic of the Universe, I never cease to be amazed at its brilliance, perfection and communion with us.The Universe is listening indeed!

In a recent telephone chat with author Rosemary Ellen Guiley, we were discussing the topic of reincarnation and she stated to me that from her research in the last several years, there’s definitely been an increased interest in the subject.I had to ponder that for a moment – “why now?”Well, with all the buzz about 2012, the shift, the desperate need to discover how to raise our individual and collective vibrations, here and now – why would we be focusing on the past, or more aptly, past lives?
And then it dawned on me – Could it be that we are feeling a need to reconnect with the understanding about rebirth because on some unconscious level we feel that the earth is about to reincarnate herself?
This spawned a conscious download for me; an epiphany that indeed the earth; this shift that is being so widely discussed (and felt) on our planet is in the process of reincarnating and we with her!
Highly revered past life regressionist, hypnotherapist and author of The Convoluted Universe books, Dolores Cannon has repeatedly stated what her dis-carnate information sources have told her is a definite forming of a new earth…
“The earth is getting ready to go into its next incarnation. It will change its vibration and frequency.” -Dolores Cannon
As such, we are being called to change our energetic frequency as well and thus incarnate into what has been called 5 dimensional or “5D” beings.The real mind-bender however, is that this reincarnation will occur without the death of the body as we know it!But that’s another discussion, entirely!
So perhaps this yearning to know more about the reincarnation process is an inner pull toward our own inevitability during this most unprecedented point in human history.
Cannon, among others have emphasized the point that our planet and in fact all things are alive and conscious – even “inanimate” objects, as paradoxical as this may seem, have consciousness – moreover, everything that we see and experience are not only conscious, but are on some level connected to us, and as such we resonate with all that is – including and especially the earth.So if the earth is about to rebirth herself into the 5D, we too are primed for such a transition.
How this is happening (and many feel that this transition is currently underway) still remains a mystery.Because humans tend to have this incessant need to see things progress in a linear fashion, one thing occurring after another, with definite demarcation points, we risk missing the grand unfoldment that is happening not linearly but spherically, sort of like the peeling back of an onion.Perhaps we are reincarnating (and the earth) right before our very eyes!
Time and Our Reincarnational Selves
When we think of time, it is nearly impossible to imagine existence without events - rebirths included, unfolding in succession.Past, present and future are but notions of the illusion of reality, many have asserted.I for one happen to resonate with this idea of time as illusion, perplexing as this may seem.So if indeed time is a mere construct, then how can reincarnation even exist?The very word itself assumes an incarnation that happens one after the other.
From the landmark channeled material, by Jane Roberts, the entity for which she brought forth, named “Seth,” had this to say as it relates to the reincarnation process…
“Reincarnation, as it is usually explained, in terms of one life before another is a myth, but a myth enabling many to partially understand facts that they would otherwise dismiss – insisting as they do upon the concept of a continuity of time.” And in another statement he says, “…your various reincarnational existences in a large manner co-occur.”
In other words, our presuppositions about reincarnation may be simply misunderstood.Perhaps a reframing of our language to describe this process as co-incarnation would be better suited to the reality of how this works.
Interestingly, Cannon corroborates this idea about simultaneous existences, both as they pertain to us and to the earth.Although many have labored to understand how this sort of bifurcation of our planet will take place, she has insisted that the two will indeed co-exist – the old world will spawn a new incarnate paradise.Further, some of us will remain on the “old earth” and some will “go to” the new.All of this of course will be decided based on who can raise their frequency to match that of the new earth…or maybe we already have.
These concepts about reincarnation (co-incarnation) can be challenging to a mind trained in linear thought.That said, on some level it is quite possible that we know this process, that part of us which is beyond the corporeal structures we believe ourselves to be.Either way, something tells me we are in for an adventure which no “past life” could ever match.As Cannon has often said…
“This will be the greatest show on earth!”

The grandmother of a little boy from Thailand made a fervent request while she lay dying.“When I come back, I want to be a male.”When the woman eventually passed away, her daughter-in-law took some white paste and drew a broad line on the back of the deceased woman’s neck in hopes that one day she would be identified in her next life.

The little boy, named Cloy was born just a few years after his grandmother’s passing. Clearly noticeable at his birth was a white line on the back of his neck, as if someone had drawn it directly onto his skin.
As he got older and could communicate, he began to state emphatically that he is his grandmother!His adamancy grew, even to the point where he exclaimed that the rice field which his grandmother once owned belonged to him!
In some Asian countries, there is a common practice that involves marking the deceased with ash or paste so that when the soul is reincarnated, the relatives can recognize them from the designated marking.
Although markings (birthmarks) or even deformities of the body are less documented among the cases of past life evidence, they do occur.The details are still quite nebulous as to where birthmarks originate from, although roughly 80 percent of all babies are born with some sort of mark or discoloration on their body.Sometimes the marks fade over the years and other times they remain.
In my recent article, The Phenomenon of Animal Reincarnation, I drew from my own personal encounter with what I suspect to be the rebirth of my beloved Persian cat Paws (now Clover Paws), in which the new kitten displayed the same identical birth mark as my former cat.Both eventually faded over time.This encounter has inspired me to explore further into perhaps one of the more profound clues as to the validity of reincarnation.
The late Dr. Ian Stevenson, a pioneer in parapsychology research and particularly the study of the past lives of children authored a seminal work which was published in 1993 in an academic journal entitled Birthmarks and Birth Defects Corresponding to Wounds on Deceased Persons.In it he stated, “Among 895 cases of children who claimed to remember a previous life (or were thought by adults to have had a previous life), birthmarks and/or birth defects attributed to the previous life were reported in 309 (35%) of the subjects. The birthmark or birth defect of the child was said to correspond to a wound (usually fatal) or other mark on the deceased person whose life the child said it remembered.”
Although the aforementioned case of the little boy Cloy whose mark seemed to emanate from his previous life as his grandmother was not the result of a violent infliction of some kind, it still leaves clues as to how the physical remnants of a former incarnation can carry over into the next life.
Still, according to past life research, it appears that many of the documented cases of reincarnation yielding physical marks or scars corresponded with a violent or traumatic account of the reincarnated individual which most often led to his or her death.
Dr. Jim Tucker, medical director of the Child and Family Psychiatry Clinic and Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Medicine at the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine who wrote the book, Life Before Life – Children’s Memories of Previous Lives along with Dr. Stevenson, said “Certainly, I think birthmarks and birth defects argue that there is something that has carried that trauma with it to another life and affected the fetus.”Tucker’s data indicates that physical trauma in one life can carry over.
Out of 2,500 cases that Tucker studied, roughly 2,000 of them involved cases of traumatic death.For some reason, the mind seems to have the ability to record and recall, vividly past trauma and inflict it on the new body.In a strange but not so uncommon correlation, I have read of cases of individuals who encountered violent episodes in their dream states, only to wake up with wounds; scratches and even blood stains that corresponded to the violence encountered in the dream.
In some way, what is intimated here is that the consciousness of the individual has the ability to manifest (or be a conduit for) a physical marking, be it from a previous life or a violent scuffle in the dreamscape!
Can we remember a previous life from our birthmark?
This is a curious phenomenon – that of the origin of birthmarks.Would it be possible to somehow use our birthmarks as a reference to a possible remembrance of a past life?
Before we rush to answer this question, let us assume that many if not most birthmarks are simply minor anomalies of the skin during the forming and development of the fetus or even resulting from the birthing process itself.But if you felt somehow more drawn to or simply inquisitive about a particular birthmark you have, perhaps you can divine its meaning and elucidate as to whether this may be a clue as to your previous incarnation on earth.You might take a photo (or have someone take a photo for you) of the particular mark, print it out and simply meditate on it, recording the visual of the mark in your mind and recalling it up during meditation.Similarly, you might focus on the image of the mark just prior to falling asleep and request a dream that might leave some clues as to its origin.Or you could see one of many good past life regression therapists who might suggest working with your birthmark as a focus for hypnosis.My surmise is that there are quite a few creative options here.
One caveat, however.Before you embark on such an adventure as discovering your past life, be certain that you want to know the life you previously led.Curiosity for curiosities sake can often prove to be less desirable than you might have expected.Obviously make your decision to explore this other life of yours with total responsibility.On the other hand, if you choose to go forward, you may discover a pertinent clue as to who and what you are today and how to be a better you!Nonetheless, this is certainly a fascinating subject to explore.
Tucker says, “The explanation for how this carry-over (memory) occurs, largely remains to be elucidated, but in general terms, the ideas that consciousness is not purely a creation of the brain; consciousness can be considered a separate entity from the physical brain and continue on in another life.”
