11:11 and the Multiplicity of Meaning

Spiritual Prompt, Reality Encoder, Personal Oracle. The meanings are as diverse as YOU!

As the quest to resolve the mystery of the 11:11 phenomenon continues, so do the interpretations.  Why are many seeing this number so frequently but many others are not?  Why does this master number seem to attach itself to a range of synchronistic experiences?  Is there one universal meaning or many, depending on who is experiencing this phenomenon?

I checked in with some of my fellow colleagues – extraordinary researchers in the areas of metaphysics and consciousness to get their weigh in on what this ever-present number may signify.

Diane Brandon is an Integrative Intuitive Counselor & Intuition Teacher and says that she has been getting clients curious about the 11:11 phenomenon since the 90’s.  11:11 and variations thereof may be a subtle, unconscious reminder of things that are coming and to attend, pay attention, and prepare in some way, while being on one’s spiritual path.”  She goes on to say, “In general, I feel that it’s a message from the Universe to pay attention – whether to be on the lookout for an upcoming event, to listen for messages, or to strengthen one’s spiritual connection.  Sometimes it may be a confirmation of one’s spirituality or spiritual orientation or that one is on the right path – or a confirmation that these are momentous times spiritually and to pay attention to events for spiritual import.

To me, the beauty of the messages behind the phenomena being individual messages underscores the need to pay attention to one’s inner voice and how one is guided, as opposed to looking for a one-size-fits-all meaning.”

As Diane so clearly articulates, 11:11 may just be a spiritual wake-up call of sorts.  We have definitely heard different variations of the spiritual significance of this master number in the past, but then the question arises, if we are all spiritual (at our core), then why are some recognizing this number as an integral quotient in their lives and not others?

Here’s what she had to say from this perspective: “Perhaps back in the 90’s some of this phenomenon had to do with confirming to people that they were on a good spiritual path or had a role to play.  With the increase in occurrence in the past few years, my sense is that it has to do with these times.  I started to feel a couple of years ago that it was even more important for people who would be facilitators to get on the path.  It feels as if this is a time of clearing, opening of awareness even more, and some sort of preparation for shifts and changes that may be in the offing.  Some people were saying back in the early 90’s that in the future everyone (meaning spiritual facilitators) would be needed.  There seems to be a consensus among some people that we’re on the cusp of that time.”

The idea that some – maybe even millions have been called to be spiritual facilitators on this planet is intriguing.  It seems evident that we are indeed on the precipice of a global, or even universal paradigm shift.  Perhaps these spiritual catalysts, though previously unaware of their purpose in life and during these times have been given the signal to come into conscious awareness of that purpose through the 11:11 signal.

Throughout the course of my research on the subject of 11:11, I’ve surveyed a variety of individuals about their own 11 experiences, and then measured this against some of their individual characteristics.  Clearly those who’ve acknowledged the 11 phenomenon in their own lives fell into *several different personality categories:
  1. Tend to be spiritually inclined (not necessarily religious).
  2. Have a pre-disposition or sensitivity to psychic (psi) phenomena in their lives.
  3. Fall into a “youth” (12-18) category, both male and female; could be described as crystal, indigo, or “new” children.

(*Note that this does not preclude those witnessing 11:11 who do not fall into any of the aforementioned categories).

The latter category is an intriguing subject on its own – the idea of new humans coming to this planet, often able to demonstrate feats of intellectual, psychic and even physical prowess well beyond their years or that of their adult counterparts.  The idea that some, if not many of these “new children,” a term I prefer to use, are also aligned with the 11:11 phenomenon may give us a clue as to the evolutionary significance of this number.

Interestingly, those youth that I’ve surveyed who see 11:11 (or variations of 11 like 1:11, 5:11, 9:11 and so on), seem to have a level of ease or a natural affinity to its presence whereby they are not necessarily questioning the frequency of the number, but rather accept it as a natural phenomenon or even a sort of celestial language.  On the other hand, some of the older individuals (including myself) who synchronistically began seeing the number in their later years have found themselves a bit more perplexed as to the how and why these numbers are appearing, although many sense that the presence of 11 carries some aspect of spiritual or psychic import.

Does 1111 lie beneath “The Matrix?”

In the original Matrix movie, it is suggested that reality experienced physically is but a construct and that everything that is lived out within the matrix (or physical 3D reality) is actually a code comprised of numbers arranged in a particular sequence.  Although couched within a “fictional” framework, the suggestion from this film is that our brains are sophisticated decoders, able to take complex strings of numbers and decode them into the experience of five sense reality.   Interestingly when we look at binary code, a numbers system composed of 0’s and 1’s  that are used to form images, words, and other strings of information, you will notice a strong representation of 11 in various forms: 11,111,1111 with 0’s separating out these sequences.  Even more curious is a recent finding by Professor Randall O'Reilly of the University of Colorado at Boulder who made a discovery that could bring mind-blowing significance to the 11:11 code.  Based on his research, he found very unusual correlations between the binary code of a computer and how our brains function.  According to his findings, he now contends that the prefrontal cortex and basal ganglia part of the brain operate much like a digital computer system, which is based on this binary system.

The following is excerpted from an October 2006 news release from the University of Colorado at Boulder: Part Of Human Brain Functions Like A Digital Computer, According To CU-Boulder Professor
"Many researchers who create these models shun the computer metaphor," O'Reilly said. "My work comes out of a tradition that says people's brains are nothing like computers, and now all of a sudden as we look at them, in fact, in a certain respect they are like computers."Digital computers operate by turning electrical signals into binary "on and off states" and flexibly manipulating these states by using switches. O'Reilly found the same operating principles in the brain.
Could it be that those who are witnessing a steady string of 11’s are getting a peak through the veil of what has been termed the matrix – a constructed reality based on a binary system?  The mere idea that there is a direct correlation in how the brain processes information with that of a computer, makes for an inquisitive postulate that could lead one down the proverbial rabbit hole of reality, returning with a whole new perspective on what our physical reality truly is!

This scenario brings about a much larger question of course.  Similar theories have been proposed in books like The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot.  The idea that our physical reality is but a construct based on a holographic model and that our brains are holographic in nature, able to decode a mathematical system into experiential reality has been discussed widely in new science circles.  Of course this can be a difficult concept to grasp, especially if one is loathed to admit that everything in this physical world at the subatomic level is not solid but is based on energy vibrating at a very slow rate – only appearing as if it is solid.  If everything is energy, numbers are certainly an integral part of the reality equation!

Another somewhat scientific approach to understanding 11:11 in our experiential system has to do with something called orbital resonance.

Here’s what quantum researcher and author Cynthia Sue Larson had to say about the correlation of 11:11 with such a model:

There's a concept known to astronomers and cosmologists of something called orbital resonance, such that when larger celestial bodies such as Jupiter and Saturn are in orbit around our Sun, their orbital resonance is 1:1.   This is the same ratio as 11:11, and one could say 1:1 is a more simplified version of resonance... yet a version with information.”

So what, exactly, is orbital resonance? Here's a great summary from Wikipedia.

Cynthia goes on to ask, “And how, exactly, does an orbital resonance of 11:11 have meaning for us today?  You can think of this as a time of ‘great clearing’ in which many of us literally need more ‘space’ because our consciousness is greatly expanding. This in turn, impacts the nature of our relationships, and how we ensure we stay in healthy, balanced relationships that accommodate each of our individual needs to expand and grow, while at the same time respecting the needs for the growth and expansion of everyone else we are connected with.

The significance of this time as being critical for human awakening at a time when we are learning more about the super-fast expansion at the time of the Big Bang is not lost, and indeed we can now begin to realize that each and every one of us were all together As One at the time of the Big Bang.  As this big, beautiful multiverse expands, so does each and every one of us, at a level exponentially greater than at any other previous time of transition on Earth.”

Whether it is the binary system undergirding our physical reality that has been exposed through a thinning of the veil or the integration of orbital resonance like movements invading our consciousness that is causing this oft seen master digit, it is clear that the pervasiveness of 11 on this planet cannot be ignored.  For its presence could have massive universal implications in the trajectory of mankind!

11:11 and Synchronicity

For many who tend toward using a spiritual compass to steer them in life, the recognition of synchronicity can play a key role in life changes and new inspirations, serving as guideposts along the journey of one’s path.

Award winning author of the book Lavender and dream expert Judy Gardiner is one who recognized the 11’s as central to several discoveries that were featured in her book.

On 11/11/94 a dream message that the optic nerve would be a breakthrough for mankind led to years of scientific dream warnings focused on the Earth. I had no science in my background.”

Judy then acknowledges a very personal though cosmological connection - "My mother passed away on 1/11/02.  I reconnected with the Earth.  I am the child from my mother - the Great Mother Earth.  The convergence of the material and the spiritual is what Pierre Teilhard de Chardin called the ultimate reunion at the Omega Point - the maximum level of consciousness - giving direction to the whole evolutionary process.  This exemplifies 11/11.  On 11/11/09 I discovered convergent vision through a dream; the ability to merge the invisible with the visible - the past with the future - to integrate what we feel and what we sense with what we see."

Taken together, the optic nerve breakthrough, convergent vision and the interrelationship of micro (mother) with the macro (Mother Earth) as well as other synchronistic puzzle pieces, make for a most extraordinary journey that Judy lays out in her book Lavender - An Entwined Adventure in Science and Spirit.  Blending the practical and the imaginal, Judy allowed the 11 symbolism to help her navigate through a maze of metaphors that lead her to some amazing realizations for humanity through what she calls "The Cosmic Dream."

Similarly, Suzie Daggett, an inspirational speaker and intuitive counselor chose to use the presence of 11’s in her life as an intuitive mapping approach to discovering her entrepreneurial sweet spot culminating in an organization called, Dear Source.

“On 11-11-11 at 11:11, I was sitting on a bench overlooking a peaceful pond when I heard the words: Seekers Central – where did they come from?  I was not asking.   I was not seeking.  Yet when I heard the words (from some angelic being no doubt), I came home and grabbed the domain.

At the time, I was in the process of selling one business and perhaps Source had this idea for a new business.  It felt like I was to create a website to introduce seekers to spiritual information all in one place.  As I started the creative process, Seekers Central looked way too big for me to create on my own.  After some intensive business strategy meetings I was overwhelmed. Friends suggested I start small, so I reworked the process and started tiny.  Seekers felt solid, real, and like something that might grow and help people.  However, after a year of hard work it did not take off and the business was not to be.

What came out of this 11-11 moment?  I believe it was a sounding board for me to take the next jump and instead of focusing on helping others get their word out (which I had been doing for over 10 years), it was time for me to start producing and marketing my words, my voice, my ideas.  Thus, Dear Source was created. I now have a website offering words of wisdom from Source interpreted by me in my voice and teach and speak about Intuition. I have published a book, PEARLS – 52 Contemplative Insights and have many projects ready to go.

It is a journey, no matter where you start or how you start. As long as you start, be comfortable changing directions when the energy dissipates and follow the dots to your idea of Source energy and All That Is.”

Suzie used a process that I have called “mapping manifestation.”  It can be done through the dreamscape, much like Judy’s cosmic dreaming, or through the recognition of 11’s and how they relate to our ideas, inspirations or even voices from the angelic realm!  The key is to know how to stay open and not settle on one course of action, even if it seems right at the time, but rather use the signals as signposts to guide you – unpeeling the layers, until you’ve reached your desired destination.  This is what Suzie did and I applaud her practical wisdom while going through this process!

I too have used 11’s as a sort of guide or signpost to navigate out of what I called, “A season of crisis.”  The details of this synchronistic journey are featured in my new book, Conscious Musings – Contemplations to Transform Life and Realize Potential, and ironically it was in large part the synchronistic promptings that stalled the release of my book, now a best-seller, until just the right time!

Whether we will ever unravel the meaning for the omnipresence of 11’s in our lives remains uncertain, but what seems to be ever increasing in our collective awareness is that meanings, like synchronicities are subjective – brilliant spectacles of the universal process that knows each and every one of us so intimately that it will design scenarios that only we will recognize, and the 11 may just be one number to show us that spectrum of purpose, just like the spectrum of humanity that exists on this planet today.

Although the 11 is considered a master number, perhaps its message is to remind us that we are the masters of our own life and its mission is to simply help us along the path of a life creatively, joyfully and fully lived!

Evolution Through the Acceptance of Paranormal Experience

Why do we tend to deny the very thing that might be key to our most profound transformation - The paranormal?

More often than I can count, I'm hearing a story from a friend, a family member, a colleague, a stranger about the weird thing that just happened to them.

One of the most recent of which was a story that was featured in my new book, Conscious Musings about a dear friend who personally witnessed the lid of a pot she was preparing to put away, fly in mid-air like a frisbee, probably some twenty feet, aiming and landing right at her foot. Then there was another friend who insisted that a rocking chair in a family friend's home began moving erratically with no one in it - witnessed as well by both her niece and her mother. And then there was another story featured in Conscious Musings about "Lisa," a woman who shared with me an occasion where she heard her deceased father's voice on the phone while in conversation with her sister.

Now as an investigative journalist - a collector of accounts of  the "strange and unusual," you can imagine the stories I get.  They range from the classic experiences of ghostly hauntings to the outright bizarre.  But many of these anecdotes, told with the most passionate of intentions I feel are quite authentic, especially to the experiencer.  Their zeal denotes their belief that these things really happened to them - or at least you would think....

Interestingly, each of the aforementioned scenarios - the paranormal occurrences witnessed by the individual(s) that conveyed them, have a twist of the skeptical as well.  In the case of the "flying lid" account - the individual who told me the story, although she believed what happened to her and moreover that it had some supernatural or nonphysical origin was even more horrified about the backlash she knew she would receive should her husband or daughter find out about it, more horrified in fact than the spookiness of the incident itself!  "They'd think I'm crazy," she said.  Perhaps this was a self-fulfilling prophecy!  In fact, when I finally convinced her to tell them, her surmise was correct.  They laughed her out of the room, calling her silly and full of #$%. After that, I sensed a tone of abandonment in her - she was more willing to let the incident go for fear of sustained ridicule, rather than explore it further. In the case of the moving rocking chair, when the witnesses who were house guests at the time informed the homeowner, she said, "Nah, I doubt that happened...you were just imagining it."  After that, they decided not to mention it again, never mind investigate it further.  And in the case of Lisa who conveyed the story of her "dead" father breaking in on she and her sister's phone conversation, at the end of her admission, she then shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't really believe in these sorts of things."

So the real question becomes WHY are people so loathed to accept experiences that don't fit perfectly within the nicely behaved Universe they think they inhabit?

I suspect there are a few explanations for this.  First, from the time we land on this little blue planet, we are taught and told what reality is.  It's black and white.  It's three dimensional.  If you can't see it, touch it, feel it or kick it, it doesn't exist.  Various belief systems have rules, and if an experience doesn't fit within the given framework you've been taught then it is impossible to have any validity.

Dr. Dana Zohar
I recall this quote from physicist and philosopher Dana Zohar who commented (about the experience of after-death communication): "People experience things.  And that experience is denied because science doesn't have the instruments of the moment to measure it."

Measurement comes in many forms. Experience not being the least of them. And yet, so many are so quick to deny the experience because it doesn't fit within the 3D reality they've come to know, or the science they've come to trust.

The late Michael Talbot, researcher and author of the acclaimed book, The Holographic Universe once said:

"It's not that I am just interested in the 'weird,' I am interested in what these things have to teach us and the practical applications."
Late author of The Holographic Universe, Michael Talbot
And yet, for some reason we are dumbfounded and perplexed by "the weird," and thus quick to dismiss it altogether.  We are not keen to investigate and are more apt to shrug the paranormal off, determined to dig for some practical explanation that will keep our nicely behaved reality in check (and our relationships in tact).

On the other hand, some have chosen to truly explore the world of the unseen and inexplicable- determined to probe the underpinnings, realizing that these experiences may shed light on who we really are, what reality really is and ultimately, our true potential.

It was Albert Einstein who said, "The only source of knowledge is experience."  But he also said, "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."

I agree.  In fact, as a child I would have "unusual" experiences, mostly in the form of what we call pre-cognitive dreams.  I'd dream of an event, whether mundane or magnificent, and invariably the event would play out in real life!  But rather than shrug it off , I made the decision to explore it, delve deeper into the true mechanisms at work in this reality that the Hindus refer to as Maya, roughly defined as illusion.

Anita Moorjani, author of Dying to be me
Speaking of unusual experiences, it would behoove me here to mention this para-normal, extraordinary and life changing experience of a woman named Anita Moorjani.  Moorjani had been suffering from a terminal form of cancer and given the edict that she would not live long.  After experiencing what is referred to as a near-death experience (NDE), and given the opportunity to evaluate her life and her reality while in this supernatural state, she woke up to the notion that her life was so much more than she surmised.  In this state she was healed and subsequently emerged from a coma, despite the doctor's certainty that she would die in just a short time.  She was completely healed of her cancer.  But what is more profound about this experience is that while having the NDE, she had the epiphany that life and reality is far greater and infinite than we have been accustomed to knowing. Moreover, she realized that the reality that we are mostly acclimated to, is illusory and that we are only glimpsing a tiny portion of the scale of reality.

Talbot's holographic universe intimates much of the same - that reality is but a holographic projection emanating from another level of reality that is far from 3D.  It's infinite, fluid and malleable.  And if this is so then the idea of paranormal experience is far more plausible, making the idea of a sticks and stones reality as the ultimate reality the real illusion!

But if this is so - If 3D reality is a construct, an illusion of sorts, why do we hold on dearly to the illusion?

Now that's a loaded question.  But let's look at this...

Does Hollywood influence our perception of reality?

Over the years, many have criticized Hollywood's portrayal of extraordinary or paranormal experience.  In some cases it's glorified and magnified but ultimately vilified as an inauthentic component of reality.  It's just "fantasy" or "fiction."  The larger than life possibilities that are portrayed in movies under the auspices of "fiction" are paraded in front of our eyes and our senses, but are relegated to wishful thinking and pure entertainment.

These days, our "entertainment" is Reality TV.  A snapshot of "real" life, complete with the defective and demented behavior of everyday people (or so we would think).  No time for paranormal stuff here, and thus, no time to reflect on the extraordinary goings on (the underpinnings of reality). Most importantly, with the media projecting reality to us, we certainly have no time to investigate our own potential, on our own terms.

To veer our attention away from the real juice of reality is to veer us away from ourselves. Maybe some want it that way!  ...But that's another story altogether!

As you peruse this post, contemplate the vast nature of reality, of the Universe and most importantly of self!  When you have an experience that doesn't fit within the average, everyday world you've come to know, you might ask yourself the question, "Am I the average, everyday person that I've been taught to be or am I much more?"

Recognizing the paranormal in your life might just hold the answer!

The Magic within the Madness

Crisis, challenge, fear, anxiety, madness - words regularly used these days to describe the tumult that threatens humanity, it seems, on a daily basis.

Turn on the news and it doesn't take long.  In fact in no time, the "bleed leads" headlines are in our face.  We ingest them, leave home with them, bring them to work, to school - to bed!

The Ft. Hood shooting, the Pennsylvania school stabbing, the missing Malaysia Airlines flight.  The headlines persist and so do our anxieties.

We'll often go to bed with these and other personal crisis on our minds. Rather than waking up refreshed, we can wake up in a panic.  Or maybe we never get to sleep at all!  Nightmares may occur that bleed over into our waking reality.  The tumult seems to be this virtual feedback loop, both in the sleep and waking state.  Therefore they are fed on a regular basis by what appears to be all around us.

But what's within that madness?  As creative beings, with the capacity to see reality through a very personal lens - a subjective one, wouldn't it behoove us to take control of the way we see things?  Now more than ever, we need to sit in a mode of reflection rather than reaction to the stimuli so readily available for our digestion.  If in fact we are to navigate our way out of the tumult and eventually put it to rest, perhaps nothing less will do!

In September of 2013, my husband and I found ourselves in the middle of this "madness."  Not necessarily obtained by just watching the news (we do so very infrequently), but probably triggered by the external circumstances: the people, places and times as they are, that we are almost forced to interact with on a daily basis.  Economic distress, uncooperative and apathetic individuals, the threat of loss of "security" - these are all realities many of the masses are dealing with if they decide to stay in a mode of reaction.

We didn't - we couldn't.  Sure, the madness got us down on occasion, but we made a conscious choice to shift our focus and glean what meaningful messages we could from the madness and crisis we were faced with a few short months ago.

I share this very personal story in my new book, Conscious Musings - Contemplations to Transform Life and Realize Potential.  I highlight a very difficult financial period, a health "challenge," and a world that appeared to be unraveling at the seams.  It was "do or bust" time for us.  We chose to shift the focus, stop the reaction and begin the process of reading the messages of the Universe that we felt intuitively to be embedded within the madness.

"I took the cues of the Universe, metaphorical as they would come, although I knew it would speak to me if I asked.  And so the dialogue between [us] began.  Some strange things happened during those turbulent, anxiety ridden months....[the messages] came in dreams, in peculiar, beautiful, powerful, and sometimes humorous synchronicities - just enough to keep sane while riding out this storm." - from Conscious Musings, p. 147

It is absolutely amazing to me - still - that the Universe will comply with our request - meet us halfway, if we are willing to commit to hearing, seeing and feeling its message.

I've always felt that shadow and light both have a purpose.  I've always sensed that opportunity is often masked in challenge, that diamonds are always underneath the dirt.  But we must dig, we must be aware and we must learn the language of the Universe to find these gems.

Fortunately we did.  I don't think that we had much of a choice frankly - nothing else was working - the old ways of attempting to solve problems are disintegrating right in front of our eyes.  An opportunity to try something new was in the offing!

We worked or sensed our way out of the madness.  And as much as I wouldn't invite crisis into our lives at any time, or in anyone else's, I'm loathed to not look back and reflect on how this madness was a gift to us both!  During our journey down this road - throughout this tumult, we discovered things that probably could have never been discovered had we not traveled down this path.  The power of imagination, affirmation, and the art of play all figured prominently in our quest to get ourselves back to equilibrium.

There's no doubt that the twists and turns of life as we understand it, especially during these times have yet to be smoothed out.  Many advise that we should "buckle up," for we are still in for quite the ride as a planet and as a species.

But if we can harness the power of reflection and action, we might just realize that miracles, magic and joy are cleverly disguised as madness, crisis and fear.  And maybe it will take this realization to evolve into the limitless beings that I am convinced we all are!

Early praise for Conscious Musings!

“In Conscious Musings Alexis Brooks reminds us that the perfect world we are looking for might already be here. With an emphasis on personal responsibility and the importance of service to others, we become the change we want to see. This is an intelligently written, thoughtfully composed collection of essays that examine the human potential. It is a well-researched book that examines the influence of consciousness on reality, looking at the act of reflection rather than reaction. I was particularly intrigued by the idea that a simple change in one’s daily routine can be a pre-cursor to change in other areas of life. Read this enlightening work, and as Alexis so clearly states, ‘Embrace the journey’.”

The altitude of her worldview allows her to see beyond seeming dichotomies. Changing of the Tides – The Shift is Here!

Are earth-shaking signs of the shift rocking your world?
Recently, I received this sobering and yet insightful message from PMH Atwater, author, researcher and visionary, about the current cosmological and evolutionary shift we are experiencing.  At first glance, I was alarmed.  Upon closer examination, I understood and could relate.  Ultimately with some unbiased reflection, I acknowledged that this is what the shift is bringing and if we understand the nuances and signposts, its opportunities for evolution far outweigh the challenges.
This is a short read but it packs a wallop.  PMH has an uncanny ability to convey powerful information in a concise and succinct manner – flowery rhetoric need not apply.  This is a well summarized analysis from the purview of someone who has experienced, felt and seen the Universe with a 360 degree perspective!
And now, guest blogger, PMH Atwater…
Astrologically we are dealing with powerful squares and T-squares that will not go away any time soon.
All of 2013, 2014, 2015 - every day - is like Mercury Retrograde on steroids. You start something, everything goes swell, and then suddenly, a crash or a twist as the energy turns on you. Easy to forget things.

This can be noticed upfront with human/animal dispositions, skin sensitivity and rashes, driving or even walking, a flux of bacteria/viruses that go up and down in spite of medications. One day you're energized; the next day is a wipe-out. Same with politics, finances, banking, jobs. Swing time. The old and the new are clashing with increasingly powerful resistance. Weather is just as confused as people and animals are, so are plants. While our nation (the U.S.) is blessed with fuel from oil sands, our groundwater and deep wells are slowly becoming poisoned with small quakes on the rise. You really can't call "negative"/"positive" anymore. What seems worrisome, actually inspires and uplifts people to take charge and find new ways of doing things that work out better.
"I am a child of God, perfect in every way and nothing and no one can interfere in my life without my permission."

I was asked by "New Dawn Magazine" in Australia to write something uplifting for 2014 (predictions for the New Year). I couldn't......at least not per se. All I could do is describe the territory - the good and the not-so-good and then show what people are actually doing about it - turning energy around. As more and more people decide to make substantial changes in their lives, businesses and governments change, too. Not always pretty what happens because of this, but there's no stopping the squeeze play.

What I've found in my life that makes a difference is using stress relief measures fairly often. When energy starts to spin or dip, I stop what I'm doing and zone in to what's true: "I am a child of God, perfect in every
way and nothing and no one can interfere in my life without my permission."  Sometimes I'll do a little dance, walk up and down stairs, spend time outdoors, or splash some water around. Always some deep breathing and some laughter. Amazing what such a stress break will do for you.

Remember, the human race as we think it to be, is evolving. It isn't just our world, our universe that is changing. We are, too, and on a fundamental core level.

For details of this, including datelines, read
CHILDREN OF THE FIFTH WORLD (Bear & Co., 2012).

Talking Animal Reincarnation on 30 Odd Minutes!

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on the paranormal television program 30 Odd Minutes hosted by Jeff Belanger and his crew.

Watch as we discuss the phenomenon of animal reincarnation, its evidence, subjective nature and the broader subject of reincarnation-at-large!  Among the questions asked, "Can even plants reincarnate?"  An interesting subject to be sure!

Continue the discussion about animal reincarnation on our Facebook Page!

Journey to Atlantis with Dr. Bruce Goldberg

Many are familiar with the Bermuda Triangle, as an area in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, well known for the mysterious disappearances of a number of aircraft and sea vessels as well as their occupants.

Jeanne, a vacationer who went on a snorkeling excursion within the Bermuda Triangle, managed to escape its potentially dangerous wrath, only to emerge with a possible clue to what could have been a past life during the civilization of Atlantis.

An intriguing account to be sure, we weighed in with noted hypnotherapist, past life regressionist and author, Dr. Bruce Goldberg to try and make sense of this otherwise anomalous and mystifying encounter.

What he has to say just might give us all pause for thought on the true nature of spiritual growth and our evolution both individually and as a species.

Listen to the full interview here.

You can read Jeanne’s fascinating account here.

Reality Shifts with Cynthia Sue Larson

In the classic movie, What Dreams May Come, after a tragic car accident, the character Chris, played by Robin Williams, finds himself in a heaven made up of the landscape paintings his artist wife Annie created.

Although not in the afterlife, Salwa a young woman visiting a friend’s home, finds herself instantly transported from the living room to one of several landscape paintings displayed on the wall!

This is what author Cynthia Sue Larson calls a “reality shift,” a phenomenon that can occur at any time when an object or even a person can appear or disappear from our environment.

I recently spoke with Cynthia about Salwa’s reality shift and about her book by the same name.

The Shadow People with Paranormal Researcher, Rosemary Ellen Guiley

Last month during our “Strange Encounters” series, we profiled the story of Kelly; a single woman in her mid 40’s who has been plagued by regular nightly visits from a strange figure at the foot of her bed. This being says nothing and does nothing except gaze over Kelly as she sleeps. Although initially startled and at times frightened, Kelly has grown used to her mysterious visitor but has no explanation for who or what this being represents.

As tempting as it may be to write off this extraordinary tale as mere delusion, we learn from paranormal researcher Rosemary Ellen Guiley that this phenomenon, she calls “shadow people” is far more common than we might realize and according to her research, the shadow people phenomenon has occurred throughout human history.

Visit Conscious Life News to listen to the full interview and while there, register to win an autographed copy of one of several great books by Rosemary and other special guests who I will be interviewing all month long on CLN!

You can read the full transcript of “Kelly’s Visitor” here.
