The Phenomenon of Quantum Jumping

Is it really possible to jump out of one reality and into another?

One researcher says, "Absolutely!"

Many in the alternative community are hearing a buzz about something called "quantum jumping" and yet few have a full grasp of what that really means.

My friend and colleague, best selling author Cynthia Sue Larson has been an ardent supporter of the research and recent findings into the exciting phenomenon of this new paradigm of thinking and doing; literally taking conscious control of our lives with the understanding that we do have the ability to shift into a reality that looks and behaves a lot different that what we're currently experiencing (or wish to experience).

The idea of the existence of parallel realities is not new, however the idea that these realities are indeed linked, can converge and present a drastic shift in our external reality is gaining momentum as some in the scientific community are now discovering.

What used to be viewed as separate or disconnected frames of reality, happening on different levels, yet occupying the same "space," measured within the realm of the very small (subatomic reality) are now being re-examined within a holographic, multidimensional and interconnected stream of reality and are now being demonstrated on a more macrocosmic scale!

Exciting stuff indeed!  But the one common denominator in traversing these realities is consciousness!

In Cynthia's book she lucidly articulates how we can make a conscious choice to jump from one reality to another using tools such as meditation to facilitate the jump!

Although some of what you might hear within the context of shifting reality may sound familiar to you (i.e. creative visualization), there are other more unique and specific approaches to achieving this quantum jump in your life and it's all presented beautifully in Quantum Jumps!

I recently interviewed Cynthia to discuss the dynamics of Conscious Quantum Jumping.  She had plenty to say about the science and practicality of this recent discovery and how these new insights are destined to rock our world in ways we've never been able to imagine - until now!

Is Alternative Media the New "Mainstream?"

The advent of the Internet has provided many things to many people.  Not the least of which has been the broadcasting of free and open discourse on important issues, current events, and cutting edge concepts.

As a journalist originating in mainstream broadcast media going back to the 80's and an ardent practitioner and researcher of a more "alternative" sort, it has been so refreshing to see the promulgation of what we call "alternative media" burgeon forth; a necessity it seems for those hungering for coverage from a more holistic perspective - a deep dive into the introspective and objective approaches to news.

There's so much to talk about these days - The most tempting of which seems to be the in your face tumult rocking the planet on many levels.  People are looking for answers, now more than ever before, as to what this world is doing (or moreover, us on it), where we are going and the perennial question of course - who are we and what is this all about?  The challenges - the opportunities - the problems - the solutions, all exist in one big stew we call reality and the Internet has offered a source to distill these issues and find answers to the complexity we call life.

But "distillation" can be a challenge in the Information Age...

It is said that we live in an "information age."  This can have its advantages AND disadvantages.  I've quoted on this in some of my previous work - information, knowledge and wisdom are not one-in-the-same.  We have plenty of information - can glean some knowledge from it, but to arrive at wisdom, it takes a thoroughly objective, experiential and discerning approach.  Still, our external sources have attempted in some cases to guide us on the path to wisdom - if but simply to give us some rudimentary tools!  And for this we are eternally grateful to the caring and sharing of alternative media.

To digress for just a minute - I recall having an invigorating discussion with a former colleague and friend, the late, great comedian and radio show personality, Marcia Masters.  I worked with Marcia at WVBF FM in Boston in the early 90's and we became fast friends!  In one of the last conversations I had with Marcia she had commented on how great it would be to be able to "break away" from the mainstream of media and create possibly an online show where we could talk about all sorts of things, free and unencumbered from any censorship from the network "brass."  This I thought was a novel concept, given that online broadcasts (or podcasts) were at the time, virtually nonexistent (save for a few one-off sources).

I often think of how Marcia would have been salivating over the opportunity to share her unique brand of philosophy and humor through this new medium - but alas she was not able to partake.  Still her ingenuity and ideas were truly ahead of its time and I salute her for that!

Harkening back to that long ago discussion, I've since had the pleasure of actualizing this idea - taking to the online airwaves, the new medium for which I had suspected would one day take precedence, and now bringing to you, the Global audience and community, the best of what I have to offer to those seeking information that is truly empowering, enriching and inspiring.  I call this - Conscious Inquiry Radio.

Do Animals Exist in the Afterlife and Can they Reincarnate?

Life is filled with a plethora of questions.  Acknowledging that the Universe is indeed mysterious, we should nonetheless continue to ask questions about its brilliant nature and our place in it - including our animal companions.

One of the greatest mysteries known to mankind lies in the question about "where" consciousness goes when it leaves the physical body?  Does it go anywhere or rather continue on in some other state?

Given the broad spectrum of data to suggest that consciousness in not produced by the brain, but exists in spite of it, it would be fair to say that even when the physical brain dies, the consciousness does not.  This of course would hold true not only for the human species but for our animal companions as well.

There are so many individuals who've become inextricably linked to their pets - linked by unconditional love for one  another that when one loses their animal, companionship is replaced with unimaginable grief

This is when our animal friends can often show up in the most unlikely of ways (i.e. in dreams), transcending their pure love for us, to assure us that they as well continue and will remain ever present, albeit not in purely physical form.  Sometimes, they will even find their way back to us in a new form - a new body, in order to continue the relationship with us - that "continuum of consciousness."

I chronicled my own amazing experience with my beloved persian cat, "Paws" and his re-appearance in a new body (a new personality) whom we affectionately refer to as "Clover Paws."

The idea of reincarnation as a natural part of the life cycle is a phenomenon known to man throughout all of recorded human history and through virtually all cultures.  If multiple incarnations are possible with human beings, why wouldn't this be so with our animal friends?

I will be discussing this phenomenon as part of the Conference on Animals in the Afterlife, Sunday, November 3rd in Boxborough, Massachusetts.

What is Psychic Ability?

Psychic ability or "Psi" as it is called in some academic circles is a phenomenon that few

truly understand and yet this amazing faculty has persisted throughout history.

Intuition, psychic ability, mediumship, ESP - although these abilities may have some unique attributes as they relate to one another, they are all nonetheless apparently a part of this nonlocal connection we all possess to what some have called "The Field."

This field or zero point of the universe is said to permeate all existence or rather all of us permeate it; we glean information from it - we communicate with it and it to us and perhaps this is the basis for which psychic information is derived.

The term psychic is formally defined as "outside of scientific knowledge; spiritual" and "sensitive to influences or forces of a non-physical or supernatural nature."

To first understand how psi or ESP works we must first understand that the average human has a very limited range of  sight as compared to many other species.  Our typical range of sight (called the visible spectrum) is only 390-700 nm or 430-790 THz.  Essentially, we are only picking up a tiny, tiny fraction of information around us at any given time.

There are exceptions however - those who for whatever reason can extract a little more of this spectrum.  Additionally, on occasion, unusual circumstances can intercept our own typical physical environment resulting in a blending or intersection of frequencies.  It is then that one can experience something not usually available through normal channels.  Certain physical locations on the earth apparently carry these cross-section of frequencies and are known as ley lines and vortices; intricate grid patterns of energy that can be tapped to heighten psychic ability.

In addition to the picking up of information, psychic information through the visible channel or clairvoyance, there are other means by which pockets of information can be gleaned.  Among them are hearing (clairaudience), or feeling (clairsentience).  These are two additional "channels" that we can often pick up information outside of the usual frequencies we operate within.

I recently had a chat with psychic and medium Mike Schopp to discuss these dynamics - just how the psychic channels do in fact work and why.  This was a fascinating discussion as we traversed many elements of psychic ability including the idea that we all have some measure of psi ability.  Too often, our everyday lives have usurped this ability, especially due to the fact that we live in a world where quick decision making and reflexive responses to the myriad of stimuli (namely from our technologies) have taken center stage.

I have always had a pure fascination with the inner workings of reality and how intertwined we are with this invisible world.  Moreover, if we can first accept this ability as innate within us all and make an affirmative decision to incorporate these abilities into our everyday lives, we may just find that our lives will be so much more fulfilling!

The New Children Are Here!

What are "crystal," "indigo," "star-child," "rainbow" beings?  Are they real?  And are they here now?

Despite the temptation to name these kids, near-death and consciousness researcher P.M.H. Atwater discards these labels, and rightfully so!  These aren't labels, these are beautiful beings that apparently entered our planet en masse, she says beginning around 1982 and they're rocking our world in ways unknown to us before.

They are psychic, they are genius, they are  sensitive and they need listening and paying attention to.  This is not to coddle, cocoon or patronize them in any way - this is about understanding that a new race of beings has graced this planet for myriad reasons.  In their disfunction (some of them anyway), they may be here to mirror our own misunderstandings and ignorance of ourselves.  But this is just a small part of the story.  They are what she refers to as the 5th root race; a race that entered the planet during a time period when shifts began to happen in big ways.  They are teachers.  They don't want bosses - they want mentors.  They are restless, bored and see through pretense as easy as we see through our window.

These may be your children or your neighbor's children or it may be you!  Either way, there's something magnificent going on here and we need to pay attention!

I had the distinct pleasure of speaking with P.M.H. earlier today about these beings which she covers in her book, Children of the Fifth World - A Guide to the Coming Changes in Human Consciousness.  Our interview will be posted tomorrow on Conscious Inquiry and I encourage absolutely EVERYONE to listen to it.  Why? This isn't just about their story; the new kids - this is about ours and we'd better be paying attention to all of the messages (both subtle and not so subtle, verbal and nonverbal) of what these kids have to show us.  If we are at a tipping point in our world, these kids are integral to what lies beyond that point and the sooner we zoom in on what and who it is that they are, the sooner we will be able to understand who and what we are and what we face in this most exciting of times!

Evolution, Enlightenment, Manifestation & Abundance - It's ALL Truly Within Our Reach (Conscious Musings Unabridged)

Hello everyone!  For those of you who are regular visitors to Higher Journeys, you may have noticed that there's been quite a lull since my last post.

I have been in the throws of putting the finishing touches on the "unabridged" version of my book Conscious Musings!  And what a process it has been!

Although my published writings go back over a dozen years, the process for writing a book and readying it for print is a whole other affair entirely and quite the daunting process to say the least. 

I've expanded significantly on the content of this version, doing a great deal more research, fact checking, proofing, meeting with cover artists, et al...and needless to say I've been eating, sleeping, and dreaming the book - and LOVING every bit of it!

For anyone that's ever decided to hunker down and put "pen to paper" so-to-speak, you will certainly know what I mean.  As I recently said to a friend, "...this has been grueling and I have never been through anything like this before!"  What a ride!

This volume, which I anticipate to be out in the early-mid fall, I've expanded on significantly.  There will be three sections, all underscoring how the world as it could (and I believe will) be is right at our doorstep, but with a few critical caveats!

Here's a little sneak peak from the introduction to Conscious Musings to give you an idea for what you'll be in for...

"In the opening section, The Individual, the Collective, and Social Consciousness, we will examine our current psychological state amid the common construct we find ourselves in.  Fair warning – I will not spare you dear reader with a comfy-cozy picture seen through rose colored glasses.  The musings here depict the world as it is experienced in consensus; how we’ve been habituated toward a very fixed and unrelenting view of reality, despite the cornucopia of history, data, and experience that has revealed anything but!  We will examine how choice can free us from the grip of compliance, how ego has been over-stimulated through modern culture, how true revolution will be achieved only through personal and unconditional evolution, and how ultimately we have forfeited our power in favor of outside authority dictating what is possible in our lives and in the lives of others.

...In the final section, The Consciousness of Manifestation and Abundance, I invite you the reader, the explorer, the experiencer, to journey with me through the terrain of possibility.  I encourage you to consider putting aside your previously held beliefs about how reality creation and manifestation work and commit to taking on a new process for creating you and the world around you...After pounding the pavement with a life review of the world as it is, let us now take a look at the world as it could be, but let us take it out of the possible and into the now!  How refreshing it is to know that the world as it could be is indeed at our doorstep…all because we are in the midst of this shift.  Exciting things are happening.  The Universe is supporting us in every way possible!"

...This is just a little snapshot.  My sincerest desire is that this volume will assist the journeyer on his or her own path.  My sense is that the musings depicted reflect what so many are thinking about these days - The question becomes, how do we navigate the current tides and become the evolved beings we are meant to be?  I hope that this book will begin to answer this question for you!
